Laura Barron, in collaboration with pianist , Jeffrey Sykes, introduces her new CD, "Echoes of a Blue Planet". This eclectic recording features classical flute and piano compositions inspired by various folk traditions. Works include Bartok's "Hungarian Peasant Dances" , Piazzola's "Tango Etude No. 3", Borne's "Carmen Fantasy", Katherine Hoover's "Kokopeli", Foss' "Three American Pieces" and Roussel's "Jouers du Flute" as well as Latin and Celtic selections.
