Written for the premier performance of the Nashua Flute Choir's contrabass flute, this melancholy carol from Appalachia is an excellent showcase for the lowest flutes. It may be performed by either 3 bass flutes with "contra" solo, or 3 C flutes with bass flute solo.  Performance time: 3:10.
