Sonata 6 was written after returning from the Edinburgh Fringe where they did a production of my musical Far From the Madding Crowd. The piece has great theatrical energy, probably as a result. The piece is in the tradtional 3 movment format of an 18th century sonata. The last mvt carries classicism further with its flavor of Haydn's music. Incidentally, regarding the title: La Salmonella was written while recovering from the after-effects of a very bad Scottish egg.
