Passing Through (A Brief Adventure for Flute & Strings), for flute & piano reduction, was conceived for flute and symphonic strings. This piece presents a lively set of interactions between these two contrasting sources. While there are some brief quieter moments, energy, drive and virtuosity are the fundamental issues.
